1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Maison Vin collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information about people who visit our website, create an account, use our community features, create or join events, post content, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Service”).
Maison Vin is an adult-only community and discovery platform that welcomes users worldwide. Our current event discovery, organizer outreach, and local coverage are primarily focused on New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut; availability of local information, organizers, and third-party services varies by location. We plan to expand over time, but do not guarantee the timing or availability of future regional coverage.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, venues, restaurants, organizers, retailers, payment providers, booking services, or other external services linked from Maison Vin. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and practices.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, information from connected sign-in providers if enabled, and information from service providers that help us operate the Service.

Do not submit government identification, payment-card information, health information, biometric data, a precise home address, or other sensitive information through ordinary profile, post, message, or event fields unless Maison Vin specifically requests it through a secure, disclosed process. We do not need these categories for ordinary community participation.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and maintain the Service, including to register accounts; manage sessions; display profiles and content; enable events, follows, join requests, waitlists, messages, notifications, reports, and blocks; apply the 21+ requirement; investigate reports; detect fraud, abuse, unsafe conduct, and Terms violations; develop and
improve features; measure Service use; troubleshoot errors; protect security and legal rights; communicate with you; and comply with legal obligations.
We may use cookies, analytics, personalization, and advertising technologies as configured for the Service. Where required by law, we will obtain consent before deploying non-essential technologies, honor applicable choices and opt-out signals, and provide a practical way to change preferences.
4. How Information Is Visible to Other Users
Your privacy settings and the features you use determine how other members may see your information. You should not post information that you would not want another person to see, copy, screenshot, or share.

Hosts may receive information needed to evaluate and manage participation requests and their events. A person who receives a Private-event link may view event information before being accepted, and may copy, screenshot, or share information they can view. Maison Vin does not control how an independent Host or a link recipient uses information you voluntarily disclose or make visible, but we require Hosts to use participant information only for legitimate event-related purposes and in accordance with applicable law.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

We do not sell alcohol or event tickets. If applicable privacy law gives you rights related to sale, sharing, or use of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will provide the required notices, choices, and opt-out methods.
6. Cookies and Preference Controls
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to run and secure the Service. Depending on our configuration, we may also use functional, analytics, personalization, and advertising technologies. Our cookie banner and preference center identify the categories used and provide the choices required by applicable law.
Rejecting non-essential cookies may reduce personalization or certain optional functionality, but it should not prevent essential account, security, or preference-management functions. You can also use browser settings to manage cookies, although those settings may not control every technology. Where applicable law requires us to honor an opt-out preference signal, we will do so for the scope required by that law.
7. Retention and Account Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and preserve evidence related to safety or legal claims. If we remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate an account for reported or suspected misuse, we may retain relevant account, report, content, and activity information to investigate, enforce our Terms, protect others, and meet legal obligations.
When you request account deletion, we deactivate your account promptly and provide a 30-day recovery period. During that period, your profile is hidden from other users and you may reactivate your account. After the recovery period, we delete or anonymize personal information in active systems, subject to information retained in backups for a limited period, information another person independently copied or shared, legal obligations, fraud/security records, unresolved reports, and legal claims.
Historical posts, comments, messages, event records, and uploaded media may be deleted, anonymized, or retained in limited form where necessary to preserve the Service, protect other users, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, comply with law, or maintain security. We do not promise immediate, universal, irreversible deletion where systems, backups, legal obligations, or the actions of other users make that impossible.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. These measures may include access controls, role-based permissions, encryption where appropriate, password protection, logging, monitoring, vendor controls, incident response, and secure disposal. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will provide notice consistent with applicable law. You should use a unique, strong password, protect your account credentials, and notify us promptly at hello@maisonvin.ai if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may access, update, or correct certain account information through the Service. You may change profile and visibility settings, manage certain notifications, block users, and request account deletion using available account controls.
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information by contacting hello@maisonvin.ai. We will verify requests as appropriate and respond within the time required by applicable law. We may deny or limit a request where allowed by law, including where the request cannot be verified, would affect another person's rights, conflicts with legal obligations, or falls within an applicable exception.
10. International Users and Future Expansion
Maison Vin welcomes users worldwide. Its current event discovery, organizer outreach, and local coverage are primarily focused on New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and availability varies by location. If you use the Service from another state or country, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where Maison Vin or its service providers operate. We may restrict access from locations where we reasonably believe use creates legal, safety, or operational risk. Before we actively target, market to, or offer local services in additional jurisdictions, we may provide supplemental notices or make changes required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, our data practices, or applicable law. We will post the revised Policy and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law.
